Privacy Policy

How My PSL Scale handles your photos, account and payment data, in plain language.

The short version

The free PSL rating runs in your browser and never uploads your photo. If you choose the AI rating, a resized copy of your photo is sent once to be scored. We keep a small copy in your private report only if you leave the save box ticked; you can delete any report, and its copy, at any time. We keep only what we need to run your account and credits.

Photos

  • Free rating. The face model and its runtime are served from our own domain and run on your device. Your photo is not sent to us or to anyone else.
  • AI rating. When you press the AI rating button, your browser sends a resized JPEG (at most 1024 pixels on the longest side) with your measurements to our server. Our server forwards it to Anthropic's Claude through OpenRouter, requesting only providers that do not retain or train on prompts. We do not save the photo or the returned result. The result is shown to you and then exists only in your browser tab.
  • Signing up or buying credits mid-session. To bring your result back after sign-up or checkout, a resized copy of the photo is held in your browser's session storage for up to 30 minutes. It never leaves your device and is cleared when you close the tab.
  • Share cards. A share card is drawn in your browser and saved to your device. Your photo is included only if you tick the box.

Information we store

  1. Account. Your name, email address and sign-in method (email and password, or Google if enabled).
  2. Credits and orders. Your credit balance, credit history, and the order records for packs you buy.
  3. AI usage records. For each AI rating we record the time, your user ID, which model was used, what it cost and how many credits were charged. We do not record the photo or the rating.
  4. Support messages you send us.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to the payment data it collects.

Cookies and analytics

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and Google Analytics to count visits and understand which pages are useful. You can block analytics cookies in your browser without affecting the free rating.

Who we share data with

Stripe (payments), OpenRouter and Anthropic (Claude) (AI rating photos, only when you request one), Cloudflare (hosting and email), Google (analytics), and our database provider. We do not sell personal data.

Age

This service is for people aged 18 and over. Do not upload photos of anyone under 18, and do not upload photos of other people without their permission.

Your choices

You can use the free rating without an account. To see, correct or delete your account data, email us at the address in the footer. We delete accounts and associated records on request, except records we must keep for tax or fraud prevention.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell signed-in users.
