Why this site exists

My PSL Scale is a small, independent project that makes the PSL rating understandable. Most PSL tools give you a single number and nothing to check it against. We built this one to show the working: every landmark, every measurement and every ideal band is visible, so you can see why you got your score instead of being told.

What we believe

  • Show the maths. The formula, the weights and the ideal bands are published on how the PSL rating works.
  • Keep photos on your device. The free rating runs in your browser. The AI rating is optional, sends the photo once, and keeps a small copy in your private report only if you allow it.
  • Be honest about limits. The PSL scale is a community convention. A photo cannot see everything, and a number is not a measure of anyone's worth.
  • No subscriptions. The AI rating is paid for with one-time credit packs that never expire. See pricing.

How the rating is made

Your browser runs Google's open MediaPipe Face Landmarker to place 478 points on your face. We measure 16 proportions from those points, score each against a published ideal band, and map the result to the 0–8 PSL scale. The optional AI rating adds a vision model's read of your photo, blended with the measurements.

Who is behind it

My PSL Scale is built and run by a small independent team that also makes other web tools. We are not a medical or research organisation, we do not offer medical or cosmetic advice, and the ratings are for curiosity and entertainment for adults.
